Avignon艾維農是法國南部的一個藝術古鎮,有滿滿的歷史古蹟建築,列入世界文化遺產。

我還沒能去過法國Avignon,但有這個機會受到桃園的艾維農邀請,前往享用優雅的素食法式套餐。

Avignon is an artistic and historic old town in south France, which is UNESCO World Heritage Site.  I have never been to Avignon in France but have a chance to visit Avignon Restaurant in Taoyuan and enjoy fine vegetarian dining.

艾維農的店家風格優雅清新,沒有西式高級餐廳給人的壓迫感。

淺色木作色系裝潢,搭配明亮燈光,部分牆面貼上暗色玻璃,有擴大視覺效果,又不會照的客人太明顯很害羞這樣。

Avignon is an elegant restaurant but with no constraint that some high-class restaurants may have.

Avignon is decorated with burlywood color.  The bright light and some dark mirrors make the space looks more spacious.

還有一個sasa覺得很豐富又不雜亂的吧檯,亮眼而不虛華,點綴一些綠色盆栽。

除了綠色盆栽小清新,每桌都有紅嫩玫瑰花增添浪漫氣氛。

The bar decorated with some greens looks gorgeous but not flaunty.  And the romantic roses on every table brings out the romantic atmosphere.

艾維農的創辦人是位藝術人,打造的艾維農不只是間餐廳,也是間藝廊。不定期與藝術作家合作,在艾維農進行藝文展覽。

sasa前往用餐的時候,正在進行林怡君《交換總和》個展 ,我沒什麼藝術細胞,無法對藝術品進行太深層的評價,但現正展出的林怡君畫作是以剪紙剩餘的紙屑為發想,組合成沒有固定線理的多重空間,用色粉嫩繽紛,很舒服活潑的作品。

One of the co-founder of the restaurant is an artist makes Avignon not only a restaurant but an art gallery that seeks to be a medium for local artists to converse and push the boundaries of art.

Now there is a Wonderful Moment exhibition by Yi-Chun Lin, who creates new images from paper-cutting to oil painting.  These colorful and creative paintings really attract to me.

艾維農以歐式套餐呈現,並有單點飲料、外帶蛋糕及手工餅乾。

共有四款套餐,價格在480~780元+10%間,另有兒童餐及商業午餐。

Kids' meal and business meal are also on served.

暖麵包籃附奶油香草抹醬
Warm Bread Basket Served with Herb Mayo

所有的套餐都以麵包起頭,剛上桌的切片麵包溫熱,原始的麵香味濃厚,放冷後歐式麵包帶口感的嚼勁顯現。

抹醬是拌入香草的美乃滋,好像還有一點檸檬汁,以至於不顯膩,相較於一般奶油更加滑順,也比較有甜味。

麵包可以續點唷,我們覺得麵包很好吃,續點是一定要的。

Bread is warm so you can smell the scent of wheat.

The spread is made of mayo, herb and maybe some lemon that makes the taste sweet but less greasy.

Bread could be refilled if you want.

栗子濃湯(680元套餐)
Cream of Chestnut Soup($680 Set Meal)

上桌的是一個只有幾樣蔬菜及麵包丁的空盤?

哈哈~別急,很快的服務生就會進行桌邊加湯服務啦!不只有美食,不時還有驚喜花樣,讓用餐更顯樂趣。

盤內的蔬菜應該都只有水煮過,保留食材的原味;濃湯則是用栗子熬煮,咬不到任何固體但味道十分濃郁。

雖然全數都是蔬菜熬煮,但加入瑪撒拉味道帶點嗆辣,口感豐富,算是道"重口味"湯品。

The soup plate is served with a few vegetables and croutons in the beginning then follow with the table service filling the soup.

The soup is made of chestnuts and masala.  Boiled vegetables preserve the food's original flavor.  Masala makes the soup a little spicy but smooth and rich.

蔬菜清湯(580元套餐)
Vegetable Consommé($580 Set Meal)

一樣先上來一個只有一個番茄跟白色泡沫的空蕩蕩杯子,剛才說了會有桌邊加湯秀了,就來提提sasa特地向服務生問來的白色泡泡的身世。

這白泡沫是大豆卵磷脂加上檸檬汁打出來的,不只增添視覺效果及口感,也很健康唷。

蔬菜清湯如同它漂亮的紅色,是以番茄酸甜味為主,很清爽好喝。

Vegetable Consommé is tomato broth with some foam which is a blend of lecithin and lemon juice.

Vegetable Consommé is fresh and sweet, and I think it's healthy, too.

主廚精選小點
Amuse-Bouche

餐前開胃菜是三樣精緻的小點,分別是桂花蘋果捲、黃瓜蒟蒻捲、焦糖香蕉捲。

首先是桂花凍包裹長條狀的蘋果,桂花的香氣搭上脆甜蘋果,才剛喝完濃湯的口氣頓時清爽了。

再來是薄的可透光的黃瓜捲著蒟蒻,刨薄的黃瓜還有爽脆但沒了瓜腥味,與Q軟的蒟蒻是相異卻相搭的口感,味道則來自於底層的味噌醬,在法式料理衝擊出日式風味。

最後是焦糖裹香蕉,開胃菜也以甜點結尾,一旁還有提味的油醋,甚至連點綴的橘花都可以沾上紫蘇醬一起吃進肚。

這道是完美的色香味俱全,美麗的配色及擺盤,清香的花果香氣,爽口的口味搭配,就是歐風料理最注重的要好吃也要賞心悅目阿。

Amuse-Bouche served as three little appetizer:sweet osmanthus jello and apple roll, cucumber and konjac roll with miso sauce, and caremal banana roll with vinaigrette and perilla sauce.

This course is fresh and appetizing especially served after the rich flavor soup.  The chef takes advantage of the colorful foods to make the dish look pretty well.  It's not only an appetizer but also a work of art.

法式焗三鮮(680元套餐)
Baked Vegetables($680 Set Meal)

經典的法式焗田螺在這裡也不能少,艾維農將田螺改以杏鮑菇、蘑菇、筊白筍取代,並有莫札瑞拉起司或胡麻味噌兩種口味可選。

我選了胡麻味噌醬,服務生有提醒這口味會比較鹹,也果真比較鹹了一點。

焗烤層用的應該是美乃滋醬,不知道如果選起司口味的,是不是就是用起司來焗烤,我還是比較習慣吃傳統的濃郁起司烤香香的說。

sasa一直都很喜歡烤蔬菜,烤過的杏鮑菇、蘑菇、筊白筍更顯得香甜,就是覺得切得太小塊了,我想要大口享受阿~

Avignon presents classical baked snails in another style.  Mushrooms and water bamboos are used to replace the snails, and the dish could be served in mozzarella or miso sesame flavor.

The flavor I chose is miso sesame.  Mayonnaise replaces cheese in this course, and the taste is a bit salty.  I guess I will like the mozzarella flavor better if that comes with real cheese.

Roasted vegetables are very sweet, but in my opinion, it will even be better if they aren't cut that small.

經典蔬果醋飲(680元套餐)
Fruit and Vegetable Shrub($680 Set Meal)

進入主餐前,安排了醋飲來解膩,提供甜菜根蘋果醋及鳳梨檸檬醋二種,sasa選擇鳳梨檸檬醋。

艾維農調的果醋不會很濃嗆,醋飲在這裡的作用是用來清爽味覺的,味道不用太重,所以只有淡淡的水果甜,不會也不需要太搶味。

如果喝不夠,也有更多口味的蔬果醋或果汁可以單點。

Two types of vinegar to choose:beets and cider vinegar or pineapple and lemon vinegar.  

I chose pineapple and lemon vinegar.

It's not too acrid but fresh sweet can clean the taste.

蘿勒紅醬義大利麵(680元套餐)
Spaghetti with Barilla Basil Sauce($680 Set Meal)

680元套餐的主餐有紅醬、青醬義麵及燉飯三種選擇,以往對蘿勒的印象就是青醬,蘿勒紅醬引起我們的興趣而點了它。

艾維農的紅醬除了番茄外,還加入蘿勒等香草葉一起,而且吃起來像是以大量蔬菜去打成的醬汁,沒有加入過多鮮奶油或人工香料,感覺很天然健康。

醬汁很濃稠,每條麵條都可以沾裹到,每一口的味道都很平均,加上鋪於其上的甜椒、青花菜、玉米筍,美味無負擔。

There are three entrees to choose in $680 Set Meal:Barilla Basil Sauce Spaghetti or Pine Nuts in Pesto Sauce Spaghetti or Mushroom Risotto.  Because I am interested in marinara with barilla basil, I order this one.  

The sauce is mixed with tomato and some herbs like basils, with no artificial food flavoring.  Sweet peppers, broccoli and baby corns are placed on the Spaghetti.  It's healthy and palatable.

香煎山伏菇排(附菇排醬、季節時蔬,及北非小米)(580元套餐)
Grilled Tree Hedgehog Steak(with cream sauce, Assorted Vegetables and Couscous)($580 Set Meal)

580元套餐的主餐則有山伏菇排或時蔬烤盤二種選擇,本來我很喜歡吃烤蔬菜的,但香煎山伏菇排是艾維儂的招牌主菜,一定要嘗嘗。

山伏菇就是猴頭菇,主廚又煎又烤將香氣水分鎖起來。山伏菇本身彈嫩似肉,又不會像肉類有乾澀的纖維,加上特殊的香氣及豐富的營養,很值得嘗試看看。

一旁佐有蘑菇、玉米筍、甜豆等清燙蔬菜,以及北非小米。北非小米近年在台灣好像也挺流行的,營養價值甚至比白米高,熱量又低。這裡的北非小米沒有特別調味,可以拌一些上菇排醬一起吃,滿特別有趣的口感。

There are two entrees to choose in $580 Set Meal:Grilled Tree Hedgehog Steak or Roasted Rural Vegetable Platter.

I like roasted vegetables but Grilled Tree Hedgehog Steak is famous that I must try it.

Tree hedgehog has special smell and plentiful nutrition, the mouthfeel is like meat but more tender.

And the Couscous is popular in Taiwan recently.  It has more protein and lower calorie than rice.  It's not seasoned, you can eat it with cream sauce.

松子青醬炒飯(580元套餐)
Pine Nuts in Pesto Sauce Fried Rice($580 Set Meal)

用真正的蘿勒葉打碎作為調味,裡面還有松子、雪蓮子等增添香氣及口感。

因為菜單上其實沒有這道,我猜測是搭配給香煎山伏菇排的主食,所以名字也是sasa自己取的,取名為炒飯但其實不像台灣炒飯用大量的油,是一道香氣十足又清爽的炒飯...或者說拌飯又更適切了。

Mixes rice with basils, pine nuts and chickpeas.  I reckon it's not as oily as Chinese fried rice.  It's fresh and flavorful.

精緻甜點
Dessert

甜點是生起司蛋糕以及水果。水果用心的搭配三款,有桃子、葡萄、柳丁,不只多汁而甜,應該連配色都考慮進去了,就說了這一餐不只是味覺也是視覺的享受。

味覺的享受更要提這生起司蛋糕,它是艾維農的招牌甜點,香濃不膩,甜而不過,質地細緻,真的很好吃。

Desserts are fruits and raw cheese cake.

There are peach, grape and orange for fruits, all are mellow.

And Avignon raw cheese cake is well-known.  It's quite creamy and smooth, sweet but not too much, really superb.

咖啡或茶
Coffee or Tea

套餐有搭配咖啡或茶,艾維儂也有許多單點的飲料,我們另點了冰滴咖啡(130元)及初戀滋味無酒精特調(180元)。

冰滴咖啡是每日限量的,用日曬耶加雪菲豆粹滴出這杯,透著冰塊呈現半透明褐色,好有大人質感的飲料。

日曬的耶加雪菲豆沒有我比較不能適應的酸味,但苦味也不突出,很醇厚沁心,我們非常喜歡。

初戀滋味特調則是繽紛的少女系飲料,下層是檸檬汁,上層是蝶豆花,杯口還有椰絲。酸搭甜加上粉紫的夢幻色澤果真是初戀滋味,但sasa要求去冰導致有點甜了。

還有兩片手工餅乾搭配飲料,餅乾是英式酥中帶鬆的,香香的搭咖啡超級配。

Set Meal includes coffee or tea, but there are many beverages on the a la carte menu that you can try. We ordered Cold Brew($130) and I'm in love Mocktail($180).

Cold Brew is limited supply, using natural-processed Yirgacheffe to brew.  You will not feel sour but not bitter either.  It's mild and aromatic.  I extremely like this.

I'm in love Mocktail is a glass of multicolored soft drink.  Low layer is lemon juice, upper layer is colored by butterfly pea flower, and with desiccated coconut on the rim of the glass.  The flavor is sweet and sour, the color is dreamy, really like first love.

We had two pieces of biscuits for beverages.  The Cold Brew and biscuits are a good match.

焦糖起司蛋糕(540元)
Baked Cheese Cake($540)

艾維儂也有供外帶的6吋蛋糕,我們用餐期間就有二個人來店親取預約的蛋糕。

既然店內吃過生起司蛋糕了,我選擇焦糖起司蛋糕帶回家與家人一起享用。

生起司蛋糕是乳酪濃滑的口感,而焦糖起司是有麵粉的糕點感覺,奶蛋香味比起司突出,加上表層微帶苦味的焦糖層,老天鵝阿真好吃~

Avignon sells 6-inches cakes for take-out or to deliver.  There are two customers came to get reserved cakes during our lunch that day.  We took a Baked Cheese Cake to share with family, too.

Raw cheese cake is made with smooth cheese, baked cheese cake has more flour, eggs and butter taste.  And there is bittersweet caramel on the surface layer, so amazing.

伯爵紅茶手工餅乾(150元)
Earl Grey Handmade Biscuits($150)

艾維儂也有販售外帶的手工餅乾。

有三種口味,其中伯爵餅乾上就可以看到真實的伯爵茶葉,吃起來的紅茶香也很足,口感硬脆中帶酥香,我覺得好吃也耐吃,自己在家泡壺茶帶本書就是優雅的下午時光。

They also sell handmade biscuits.  I got earl grey tea flavor one.

You can see the Earl Grey leaves on the biscuits, so the tea flavor is very strong.  It has crispy texture.  You can make a cup of tea with it to have a leisurely afternoon.

台灣的歐式套餐餐廳很多,素食餐廳也不少,但以素食歐式套餐作定位的餐廳不算多。艾維農歐風素食提供素食者一個高級的享受,也給葷食者多變化的選擇。

艾維農歐風素食將健康、藝術、優雅進行結合,除了享用美味的法式套餐,參觀藝廊般的展覽,更擁有一段愉快的時光。

There are many occidental restaurants in Taiwan and also vegetarian restaurants but fewer vegetarian restaurants in occidental style.  Avignon Vegetarian Restaurant gives vegetarians quality experience and gives meat eaters various choices.

Avignon Vegetarian Restaurant is a place where gastronomy and fine art go hand-in-hand.  You can enjoy the delicious foods, visit the art exhibition and have a pleasure time at Avignon.
